Captain Dexter
A passionate outdoorsman, Captain Dexter Early grew up fishing Choctawhatchee Bay and its tributaries. His family has been on the water for generations and Captain Dexter was introduced to the fishing business at an early age. As he grew up, he spent countless hours working on commercial fishing boats as a deckhand. Then later he owned his own 58 ft. X 19 ft. shrimp trawler for over 20 years. Growing up playing and then later earning a living from these waters contributes to his vast knowledge of the local waters and all their inhabitants. Nowadays, he translates this knowledge to his clients by providing a fun fishing experience whether his clients are beginners or experienced anglers. Kids are one of his favorite clients. Explore the pristine waters of Florida’s Emerald Coast with Destin’s Boggy Bayou Inshore Charters. Specializing in fishing flats and backcountry, This charter service will introduce you to the variety of fish species and stunning wildlife this area has to offer.
Your trip will be spent aboard an 18 ft. Tracker center console that can take up to four people plus the guide out for a day on the water. This boat is specifically designed for fishing the shallow waters of Florida and features a trolling motor to get you to the best fishing spots without scaring the fish. On board you will find a livewell filled with bait to help you entice the fish to bite your hook; or, if you prefer and would rather fish with artificial lures or flies, you will also find all the necessary equipment on board the boat.
Your trip will be spent fishing and/or sightseeing around the bountiful Choctawatchee Bay. Captain Dexter Early has been fishing the local waters for over 60 years and will guide you expertly towards your target species, whether that is a Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Blue Fish or Jack Crevalle.
Destin’s Boggy Bayou Inshore Charters can arrange charters from Santa Rosa Beach or Panama City Beach depending on your wishes. They provide all the gear, bait and lures you will need for your trip and will also clean and bag your catch for you at the end of the day. Just bring some light snacks, sunscreen, and a hat and get ready to go fishing!

More than a great guide, Captain Dexter is a warm-hearted thoughtful gentleman who genuinely likes people and loves putting them on fish. Don’t know how he stays excited about landing redfish after all the time he’s been doing this, but he truly was. My wife came along for the ride almost as an afterthought and came off the water delighted to have had the opportunity to spend the time. A true pleasure to be on the boat with him, and next trip will bring along my teenage kids. A solid 5 stars.

I had my 8 year old and Dexter was so engaging and helpful with him that he even had more fish that anyone on the boat. He was so attentitive to the rest of us as well. We had a great day, caught our limit of reds. I will deffinatly be back and have friends with me!!!
